President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, received the United Nations High Representative for the Alliance of Civilizations, Miguel Ángel Moratinos, in the presence of Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh.

The meeting included a wide-ranging discussion on the situation in Lebanon and the broader region. 

President Aoun requested Moratinos’ support in advancing the implementation of the United Nations resolution, adopted at Lebanon’s initiative, to establish the “Human Academy for Encounter and Dialogue” in Lebanon.
