Education Minister Rima Karami conducted an inspection tour of official high school exam centers in the Bekaa and Baalbek-Hermel governorates, beginning with a visit to Housh Al-Oumara Intermediate School in Zahle.
Accompanied by media advisor Albert Chamoun and ministry staff, she was received by regional education chief Youssef El-Breidi, center head Bassam Chaker, and school director Micheline El-Khoury.
During her visit, Karami toured exam rooms and engaged directly with students, who shared concerns about time constraints and difficulty in some exam questions. She assured them that the grading process would remain fair and transparent: “Despite Lebanon’s challenges, we’re proving through these exams that we are resilient and committed to justice in evaluation.”
Moreover, Karami noted general satisfaction among students and reiterated that feedback would be considered in the correction process. She thanked education staff and school administrations for their cooperation, calling the effort “a collective mission.”
At Saadnayel Public High School, Karami continued her tour, meeting with students and educators. Some contract teachers voiced grievances about unfair working conditions, to which Karami responded, “The entire teaching body is under strain, and I’m doing my best to improve the situation.”
