Minister of Foreign Affairs Youssef Rajji continued his meetings in Brussels on the sidelines of the 5th EU–Southern Neighbourhood Ministerial Meeting.
In this framework, Minister Rajji met with Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxime Prévost, and discussed bilateral relations between the two countries.
Rajji stressed the need “to exert pressure to achieve Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon and to assist in renewing UNIFIL's mandate."
The meeting also addressed the issue of the displaced Syrians and Belgium's role along with the European Union in ensuring their return to their homeland.
Separately, Minister Rajji met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Safadi, with whom he discussed the latest developments in the region.
