Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El-Tineh, the new French representative in the Cease-fire Monitoring Committee, General Valentin Seiler, in the presence of French Ambassador to Lebanon Hervé Magro and Speaker Berri's Advisor, Dr. Mahmoud Berri.
The discussion reportedly touched on the current situation, especially field updates, in light of Israel's continued violation of the ceasefire and Resolution 1701. The discussion also touched on the work of the Monitoring Committee.
Separately, Speaker Berri received the President of the Syndicate of Physicians in Beirut, Dr. Elias Chelala, and the newly elected Syndicate Council members, who paid him an acquaintance visit.
The visit was an occasion to present the Syndicate's work program and doctors' demands.
