Army Commander visits Jordan, reaffirms strategic ties
Lebanon’s Army Command announced in a statement that "Army Commander General Rodolph Haykal, visited the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on July 21 and 22, 2025, at the official invitation of his Jordanian counterpart, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, to discuss ways of cooperation to confront current challenges and keep pace with developments."

During the visit, General Haykal met with his Jordanian counterpart at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces, where they discussed the latest developments. Both sides emphasized "the importance of the strategic partnership and the continuation of cooperation and exchange of expertise between the brotherly Lebanese and Jordanian armies in various fields."

General Haykal hailed the role of the Jordanian Armed Forces in consolidating the pillars of security and stability amid the complex circumstances the region is witnessing.

The Lebanese Army Commander also visited the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC), where he attended a Jordanian Special Forces exercise. General Haykal then visited a military manufacturing center.
