Former Minister Marwan Charbel said, "We wish they would "fight" in Parliament to recover the people's stolen money, and I believe the parliamentary elections will be postponed."

In an interview with MTV, he added, "The decision lies with Parliament and no one should hide behind the cloak of the expatriates anymore, and I support the elections so that expatriates can feel connected to their country."

He also noted, "There is a clear lack of coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding expatriate voting, and the upcoming elections should be conducted based on the 2022 model."
