As part of ongoing efforts to protect consumer health and ensure the safety of food and water, and under the direction of South Lebanon’s Appellate Public Prosecutor, Judge Raheef Ramadan, the Economy Department in the South shut down two water purification and bottling plants in the city of Sidon. This came after laboratory tests revealed bacterial contamination in the water, posing a direct threat to public health.
The shutdown was carried out with the support of the State Security agency, and official violation reports were filed against those responsible in preparation for appropriate legal action.
