Prime Minister Nawaf Salam visited Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri this afternoon in Ain el-Tineh, with latest developments topping their discussion.
PM Salam briefs Speaker Berri on the results of his official visit to Paris and his meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. He indicated that the visit included France's affirmation of its support for Lebanon in various fields, as well as its commitment to renewing the mandate of UNIFIL as part of its efforts to maintain stability in the south.
Talks during the meeting also addressed parliamentary affairs, particularly the reform bills the government has referred to Parliament, including the draft laws on the independence of the judiciary and restructuring the banking sector.
