Minister of Information Paul Morcos said that "with the passing of artist Ziad Rahbani, Lebanon and the world lose a pillar of creative, pioneering, and exceptional Lebanese art."
He wrote on X: "A pillar falls, but the vast, authentic Lebanese art structure, brimming with distinctive talents, both existing and emerging, does not. Although Lebanon has always been rich in such artistic talents, Ziad's loss is irreplaceable."
He concluded: "My deepest condolences to his mother, Mrs. Fairuz, his small family, and all his fans."
