Disarmament Set for 15 Months, Two Ministers Set Conditions
Al-Hadath sources reported that the disarmament plan of the Lebanese Army will take 15 months to be implemented, adding that "the plan will be carried out in phases according to regions, starting with Beirut."

They noted that "the Lebanese Army will not set a specific date to begin implementing the weapons plan and considers that setting deadlines is a political decision that does not concern the army.”

The sources also pointed out that “Hezbollah and Amal ministers are demanding that the weapons issue be the last item discussed on the government’s agenda, and they will obstruct the session if the discussions kick off with the disarmament plan."
