Ministerof Education Rima Karami received the new UNICEF Representative in Lebanon, Marco Luigi Corsi, accompanied by a delegation from the Beirut office, on a courtesy visit marking the start of his mission in Beirut.

The meeting allowed both sides to revisit and evaluate their ongoing collaboration. Minister Karami welcomed Corsi and expressed her hope for continued cooperation to advance education and enhance learning at all levels.

Discussions addressed the Ministry's digital transformation plan, which UNICEF will support through the TREF Trust Fund program.

Urgent issues were also addressed, including preparations for the new school year and student registration procedures, as part of supporting public schools and strengthening their educational and national role.
