Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received at the Grand Serail, the European Union Special Representative for Human Rights, Kajsa Ollongren, in the presence of the European Union Ambassador to Lebanon, Sandra De Waele, and the accompanying delegation.
The discussion addressed the situation in the south in light of the ongoing Israeli attacks, in addition to the upcoming parliamentary elections. Premier Salam stressed that the legislative elections will be held on time.
Ollongren informed the Prime Minister that the European Union will send observers to monitor the parliamentary elections as usual.
Separately, Premier Salam received Russian Ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Rudakov, who conveyed to him a congratulatory message from Russian Prime Minister, on the occasion of Lebanon’s Independence Day.
During the meeting, the discussion touched on the current developments and bilateral relations.
