The Lebanese Army’s Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
“The Army continues to pursue investigations into security cases involving individuals affiliated with terrorist organizations and those planning attacks against civilians. As part of these efforts, the Intelligence Directorate referred an undocumented Lebanese national, (A.K.H.), to the competent judiciary on 4/12/2025 for his affiliation with ISIS and for leading a terrorist cell in Wadi Khaled–Akkar. This referral follows the arrest of the cell’s mastermind, (Y.Sh.), known as ‘Abu Youssef,’ on 3/1/2025.
According to the Army, (A.K.H.) had been involved in transporting explosive devices and funds sent by the organization’s leadership to support the cell’s activities, with the aim of facilitating planned operations inside Lebanon.”
