The Customs Directorate announced that, following precise monitoring and investigative efforts into forgery operations involving products marketed to consumers as protein-based nutritional supplements, a coordinated operation between the Chtaura and Sidon customs units led to identifying the counterfeiting site in Chtaura.

A Chtaura customs team raided the location, seized the equipment used in the fabrication process, and brought the owner in for legal action under the supervision of the competent judiciary.

According to the investigation, the offender had sold large quantities to consumers through social media, promoting the products as imported protein powder when, in fact, they were nothing more than a mixture of starch, sugar, and cocoa. The necessary legal measures have been taken against him in accordance with applicable procedures.
