The General Directorate of State Security issued the following statement:
As part of its ongoing efforts to curb violations in the private generator sector, a patrol from the Beirut Regional Directorate – Third Beirut Office, accompanied by inspectors from the Ministry of Economy’s Consumer Protection Division and acting on instructions from the Financial Prosecutor’s Office, conducted an inspection tour of power generators in the Tariq El Jdideh area of Beirut.
The operation resulted in violation reports being issued against generator owners (Z.K.), (M.M.), and (M.S.) for failing to install meters, as well as for not complying with public safety requirements and causing environmental harm.
