On the sidelines of President Joseph Aoun’s official visit to the Sultanate of Oman, Interior Minister Ahmad Hajjar held a bilateral meeting with Omani Interior Minister Hamoud bin Faisal Al-Busaidi at Al-Alam Palace in Muscat.
Discussions focused on the bilateral relationship between the two ministries, with both sides underscoring the importance of strengthening frameworks of cooperation, particularly in the fields of security and policing, and enhancing mechanisms that meet emerging challenges and serve the common interests of both countries.
The meeting also touched on recent developments in Lebanon and the efforts undertaken by the Lebanese state to reinforce security and stability.
Minister Hajjar praised Oman’s active role in supporting regional stability and dialogue, and highlighted the “strong fraternal ties linking the two countries and their peoples.”
