"Despite his illness, our colleague MP Dr. Ghassan Skaff visited me weeks ago, carrying the burden of dialogue and insisting until the very last moment on seeking solutions in the face of difficulties. His absence is a loss for the Parliament, which will miss his wisdom and calm, and for all of Lebanon, which will miss a doctor and a noble, independent voice. My sincere condolences to his wife and children, and to all who knew and loved him."
