The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that a meeting was held today in Naqoura between Israel and Lebanon, under US sponsorship, as part of what it described as “continuing dialogue.”
The office noted that the meeting addressed ensuring sustainable security for residents on both sides of the border and discussed ways to advance economic initiatives with Lebanon, considering these initiatives as highlighting “the interest in removing the Hezbollah threat.”
It also stated that the meeting is part of a dialogue process aimed at disarming Hezbollah, noting the participation of Yosef Draznin, Deputy Head of the National Security Council for Foreign Policy.
