The Loyalty to the Resistance bloc said in a statement following its periodic meeting that “the world is currently witnessing a disgraceful exposure of the American administration, which has reached the height of tyranny, arrogance, and hypocrisy, brazenly overstepping the values, principles, and laws upon which the international relations system was founded—supposedly to protect international peace and security.”
It considered that “the consequences and implications of American practices go beyond the issue of abducting the president of a sovereign, internationally recognized state along with his wife, fabricating charges against him, and putting him on trial with the prior intention of punitive retaliation for political and economic reasons aimed at domination and seizing that state’s resources and capabilities, according to the American president’s own statements. These practices now extend to the international system and the foundations of its stability in its civilizational, human, and political dimensions, including relations among states, nations, and peoples, international institutions, and the system of fundamental rights that govern international order: sovereignty, freedom, self-determination, and the violation of the societal, civilizational, and political identities and particularities of peoples, threatening widespread chaos reminiscent of the darkest eras in human history.”
The statement noted that “the bloc laments the performance of Western states allied with the American administration, and the state to which humanity has been driven as a result of their alignment with its positions and behavior. It also laments the state of countries in our region that behave submissively, as if they are a testing ground for tyrants, believing that safety is achieved through obedience, bribery, and surrender.”
The bloc declared its “strong condemnation of all forms of thuggery, aggression, threats of war, and the imposition of terms and agreements by force on any country or people in the world, with the aim of confiscating their legitimate right to choose their own path and political system, determine their destiny, and preserve their sovereignty and rights of their own free will and in accordance with international law, whether the matter concerns Venezuela, Denmark, Syria, Iran, Lebanon, Palestine, or any nation or people in the world.”
It renewed its call “to all Lebanese to unify their stance against the Zionist occupation, which must leave our country by all available means, and to consider ending this occupation a national priority. Anything less only gives the enemy the chance to tamper with Lebanese unity, stir divisions among them, deepen and expand its occupation, and destroy the hopes and dreams of all Lebanese for a sovereign, free, safe, independent, unified, and recovered homeland.”
The bloc noted that “the Zionist enemy continues to violate Lebanon’s sovereignty and threaten its security and stability through assassinations, shelling, destruction, the violation of airspace and territorial waters, the occupation of land, the detention of prisoners, and preventing citizens from returning to their land and rebuilding their homes. And since Lebanon, its state, people, army, and resistance, has fulfilled all obligations of the ceasefire of 27/11/2024 south of the Litani, the Lebanese government must exhaust all its capabilities and pressures in order to compel the enemy to fulfill its obligations, beginning with halting its aggressions and withdrawing completely and unconditionally. It must also avoid making any concessions that would encourage the enemy to continue its blackmail.”
