Egyptian Foreign Ministry: We welcome the announcement of the completion of the first phase of the weapons restriction plan in southern Litani
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement that:

"The Arab Republic of Egypt expresses its appreciation for the efforts made by the sister Lebanese state to extend its full authority over all its territories, and welcomes the announcement of the completion of the first phase of the plan to restrict weapons in the hands of the state in southern Litani River, a step that reflects a clear commitment to strengthening state sovereignty and consolidating the role of its legitimate institutions."

It added: "Egypt affirms that this step represents a responsible national path aimed at protecting Lebanon’s stability and unity, and enhancing the rule of law, in a way that serves the interests of the brotherly Lebanese people and strengthens security and stability in the region."

It concluded: "Egypt emphasizes the importance of fully implementing the November 27, 2024 agreement on the cessation of hostilities by all parties, and the commitment to implementing UN Security Council Resolution 1701 without selectivity. It reiterates its full rejection of any attempts at military escalation that affect Lebanon’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and stresses the importance of Israel’s withdrawal from all Lebanese territories and the cessation of violations of Lebanese sovereignty."
