The Media Office of the Ministry of Education issued the following statement: Following the collapse of part of a building in the city of Tripoli, and given the presence of a school nearby, the Ministry’s Engineering Unit rushed to the site to inspect the school building. It was found that the school itself is intact, but it is surrounded by two residential buildings that are cracked.
To prevent any incident that could endanger students, the school has been temporarily closed while work is carried out with the municipality to ensure the safety of the neighboring buildings.
