President of the Republic Joseph Aoun told the head and members of the consular corps that Lebanon relies on them to convey the true image of the country, not the one that some seek to distort or misrepresent.
President Aoun stressed that parliamentary elections "must be held on schedule, as they strengthen our credibility abroad and constitute an integral part of the reform process," underscoring that "reform cannot be selective."
For his part, Consul General Joseph Habib pledged "to work with full sincerity and dedication in the service of Lebanon and its institutions," affirming the consular corps’ readiness to cooperate with the president in all that would enhance Lebanon’s international presence and contribute to the well-being of its people.
