Education Minister Rima Karami chaired a meeting of the administrative board of the Education Trust Fund (TREF), attended by senior education officials and representatives of donor countries and international organizations.
Discussions focused on financing school funds, the ministry’s 2030 vision, preparations for the upcoming academic year, and the digital transformation roadmap presented by the ministry’s digital transformation office. The meeting also addressed non-formal education.
Karami briefed participants on her recent field visit to public schools in the Arqoub area, highlighting the severe and insecure conditions under which they operate and stressing the urgent need for sustained funding, particularly in areas exposed to repeated attacks.
Participants expressed a positive stance toward providing support, noting that they closely followed the minister’s visit and witnessed the hardships faced by students, teachers, and families.
