President Joseph Aoun told a delegation from the Lebanon Youth Movement that recent positive developments warrant optimism, urging that available opportunities be seized rather than squandered through political bickering and distrust.

Moreover, Aoun reaffirmed that Lebanon’s sectarian diversity is a source of richness and a message of pluralism and freedom to both East and West.

On judicial matters, Aoun stressed that files are being referred to the courts and that "no one is above the law." He added that prison overcrowding should be addressed by expediting trials and resolving detainees’ cases, not through a general amnesty.

The president emphasized that national recovery is a shared responsibility, reiterating his commitment to holding parliamentary elections on time and to pursuing balanced development across the country.
