Minister of Social Affairs Haneen El Sayed revealed that “the Higher Relief Commission has begun issuing the checks, and we have started disbursing funds to around 100 families in Tripoli; so far, 16 buildings have been evacuated, and shelters have been secured for the families from these buildings.”
Speaking in a call with the program “Sar El Wa2et”, she added that “in the event of a building collapse in Tripoli, coordination is handled directly by the North Lebanon Disaster and Crisis Management Operations Room in cooperation with the Mayor of Tripoli.”
El Sayed also announced that “we have received a $1 million donation for those affected in Tripoli.”
