Lebanon will be affected afternoon by a cold low-pressure system bringing heavy rain, thunderstorms, strong winds and snow, the Meteorological Department at Beirut Airport said.
On Saturday, weather will be mostly cloudy with temperatures dropping to seasonal averages. Scattered showers, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms, are expected in the morning. Winds may reach 75 km/h, exceeding that in northern areas, with sea waves rising to three meters. Snow is forecast from 1,800 meters before rainfall gradually eases at night, with dense fog over high elevations.
Conditions improve Sunday and Monday, turning partly cloudy to sunny with rising temperatures and lower humidity.
