Rasamny concludes visit to Washington
Minister of Public Works and Transport Fayez Rasamny concluded his visit to Washington, accompanied by Lebanon’s Ambassador to the United States, Nada Hamadeh Mouawad, and returned to Beirut after a series of high-level meetings on Lebanon’s infrastructure sector and prospects for its development.

Rasamny and Mouawad held talks with officials at the White House, the US Treasury, the US Department of State, the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), and the World Bank. Discussions centered on ongoing infrastructure initiatives in Lebanon, particularly airport and port modernization projects, as well as avenues for enhanced cooperation with the United States and the World Bank to support economic growth and reinforce safety and sustainability standards.

Ambassador Mouawad also hosted, in cooperation with the Middle East Institute, a special policy dialogue with Rasamny, moderated by Senior Fellow Nicholas Nassar. The session addressed pressing infrastructure challenges, recent achievements, and the broader reform path aimed at strengthening state institutions and sovereignty.

The Lebanese Embassy in Washington reaffirmed its commitment to consolidating international partnerships that support Lebanon’s development agenda and long-term stability, in line with the government’s reform priorities.
