The Israeli army announced eliminating a senior official in Hamas’s financing network in Lebanon, along with the Shin Bet.
Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee wrote on X: “Earlier this week, under the guidance of the Shin Bet, the Israeli army struck in Lebanon and eliminated Walid Mohammad Dib, a senior official in Hamas’s financing network who was responsible for funding the organization’s military activities in Lebanon.”
He added: “In his role, Dib was responsible for transferring funds to various branches of Hamas in Judea and Samaria, Lebanon, and other countries. He also recruited members and directed operations from Syria and Lebanon. His elimination is part of a series of strikes targeting the funding sources of these organizations since the start of Operation Roaring Lion.”
He concluded: “The Israeli army and the Shin Bet will continue to act strongly against these organizations in Lebanon and will not allow harm to come to Israeli citizens.”
