Salam receives supportive call from Spanish counterpart
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received a call from his Spanish counterpart, Pedro Sánchez, who expressed "Spain's support for Lebanon and its territorial integrity, and for the decisions of the Lebanese government, particularly those related to banning Hezbollah's military activity."

He also condemned the attacks on UNIFIL forces and stressed the need for a thorough investigation into these incidents.

"Spain is committed to supporting the Lebanese people and has allocated an additional €9 million in humanitarian aid," pledged Sanchez

For his part, PM Salam appreciated Spain’s support on both the humanitarian and political levels, and its contribution to UNIFIL forces.

He emphasized that "the Israeli incursion into Lebanon under the pretext of establishing a buffer zone or security belt is totally unacceptable," and that "Israel must stop its military operations and withdraw from all Lebanese territory."
