The following statement was issued in Beirut by the Amal Movement and Hezbollah:
“Amal Movement and Hezbollah, while expressing deep appreciation for the patience of our displaced families, for the brothers hosting them in the capital and all regions, and in recognition of the steadfastness of the fighters in the confrontations in the border villages, and in respect for the sentiments of the people and their enthusiasm to express their position on ongoing developments, and in the interest of both leaderships in maintaining stability and protecting civil peace and preventing any division that the Israeli enemy seeks to provoke, we call on our honorable people not to demonstrate during this delicate phase the country is going through.”
