Maronite Patriarchate issues statement in support of the Pope:

The Maronite Patriarchate strongly condemned any offense or disrespect directed at His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, emphasizing that such actions violate basic standards of respect toward the head of the Catholic Church and offend shared human values.

The statement stressed that the Pope remains a voice of conscience, peace, and human dignity, and reaffirmed full solidarity with him, highlighting his longstanding support for Lebanon and his calls for justice, dialogue, and an end to wars.

The Patriarchate also renewed its commitment to dialogue and mutual respect, rejecting incitement and urging the international community to adopt wisdom, de-escalation, and a just peace.
