The Israeli army spokesperson published the following on X:
“During an operation by forces from the Paratroopers Brigade combat team tonight in Bint Jbeil, the troops engaged face-to-face with a cell of three militants who opened fire at them.
In a rapid closing of the circle, the fighters returned fire, and with tank fire support and airstrikes, two militants were eliminated and the building in which they had barricaded themselves was targeted.
During the incident, three IDF soldiers were seriously wounded, one soldier was moderately wounded, and six others were lightly wounded.
During the course of the engagement, another militant who attempted to flee the area was identified, and shortly afterward he was targeted and eliminated.”
