'Summer Spell' in Spring: Heat, Dust, and Muddy Rain
The Forecasting Department at the Meteorological Service in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has forecast that Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin will be affected by warm air masses loaded with dust coming from Egypt. These will lead to a noticeable rise in temperatures, exceeding seasonal averages, with the strongest impact expected on Thursday, when temperatures may exceed 30°C along the southern coast, accompanied by hazy conditions.

The system will begin to weaken from Friday afternoon as a low-pressure system centered to the north approaches gradually, bringing unstable weather with muddy rain showers and a significant drop in temperatures back to seasonal averages. Its impact will continue until Monday afternoon, after which conditions will stabilize again.

Weather in Lebanon:

Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy with high clouds. Low humidity and a marked rise in temperatures, exceeding seasonal averages by around 5°C. Active winds reaching up to 55 km/h, carrying dust layers that reduce visibility.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy with high clouds and dusty, hazy conditions causing poor visibility. Winds remain active (up to 55 km/h). Temperatures continue to rise, exceeding 30°C along the coast. Clouds will increase from the afternoon with scattered muddy rain in inland areas.

Friday: Partly to mostly cloudy with medium clouds. High temperatures during the day with increased humidity and dusty, hazy conditions leading to poor visibility. Temperatures gradually drop from the afternoon as cloud cover increases, fog forms over high elevations, and scattered muddy rain develops with thunder and lightning. Strong winds may reach up to 70 km/h, increasing sea waves.

Saturday: Partly cloudy to occasionally cloudy with a noticeable drop in temperatures back to seasonal averages. Fog will form over high elevations, with scattered rain and possible thunder in the morning, easing later with wider clearings during the day.

Winds: Northeasterly, 10–35 km/h, strengthening in the afternoon to around 55 km/h, especially in southern areas.
Visibility: Moderate, occasionally poor due to dust.
Relative humidity: 30–55% along the coast.
Sea conditions: Moderate wave height.
Sunrise: 06:09 am
Sunset: 07:09 pm.
