MTV sources reported that President Joseph Aoun said the diplomatic track has begun, stressing that the issue of Israeli withdrawal is of major importance, and reaffirming that Lebanon will not relinquish any part of its territory.
The sources added that Lebanon’s ambassador in Washington Nada Moawad informed President Aoun that the Americans were very supportive in urging a ceasefire during the Lebanese–Israeli talks held yesterday.
