The Lebanese Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
The army is accompanying residents returning to their villages by reinforcing its deployment in the area south of the Litani River, while continuing its missions across all Lebanese regions to ensure citizens’ safety. Units are setting up temporary checkpoints, reopening roads, removing obstacles, and detonating unexploded ordnance.
In this context, an army unit reopened the Dibbin–Marjaayoun Road, which had previously been cut off following an Israeli strike. Another unit reopened the Qasmiyeh Coastal Bridge, while work is underway to repair a number of other bridges.
The Army Command again stressed the need for citizens to comply with the instructions of deployed military units and to avoid roads closed by the army, as they lead to villages where Israeli forces are still positioned.
