Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, met Monday at the Grand Serail with Australian Ambassador to Lebanon, Rebekah Grindlay, who congratulated her host on the confidence vote granted by the Parliament.
Diab later met with Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon, Jose Maria Ferre, with whom he discussed the general situation and the ties between the two countries.
"I visited PM Diab to officially congratulate him on his nomination to chair the government, and I relayed to him the felicitations of the Spanish government and premier," the diplomat said.
"We dwelt on the means to bolster the bilateral relations, and we shall continue cooperating with the PM office and consultants in different sectors," he added.
Diab also held talks with Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Emmanuelle Lamoureux.
