President Michel Aoun received on Friday the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Lebanon, Hamad Saeed Al-Shamsi, at the Presidential Palace, on a farewell visit to mark the end of his diplomatic missions in Lebanon and his transfer to Cairo.
During the meeting, President Aoun expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by Ambassador Al Shamsi, during his stay in Lebanon, to strengthen and develop the Lebanese-Emirati relations in all fields.
In recognition, the President awarded Ambassador Al Shamsi, the National Order of the Cedar (rank of Senior Officer), wishing him success in his new tasks.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Shamsi thanked President Aoun, noting the cooperation he received from all Lebanese officials during his diplomatic work in Lebanon, which spanned over a period of six years. Al Shamsi also revealed that he would continue to work in any position wherever he is present, in order to develop the Lebanese-Emirati relations in the interest of both brotherly peoples.
