The Free Patriotic Movement's central media committee issued the following statement:

"We will not bother the Lebanese with a statement consisting of 11 items in response to the Lebanese Forces, but we will say one thing about Samir Geagea: One who does crimes during the war and political assassinations during peacetime has no right to talk about political morals. One who practices the highest levels of political corruption by taking money from abroad (fundraising) to spend it on elections, and one who spends what he gained from the Lebanese on his palaces and the luxurious lives of his entourage, is not entitled to condemn corruption. Oh how ugly the criminal when he talks about virtue!"
