Head of Association of Private Generator Owners Abdo Saadeh announced, in an interview with MTV, that generator owners have not received diesel thus far despite the agreement between the companies and the Central Bank to deliver it based on the 3,900 LB exchange rate.
Saadeh called on the army to inspect the warehouses of companies and refineries immediately, and to place the confiscated quantities in its tanks and distribute them in a fair manner.
Saadeh asked the Energy Minister "to increase the power supply to 10 or 14 hours as soon as possible, as the Energy Ministry is the only side that is capable of doing so because it has fuel in its tanks," warning that "the coming hours will witness total darkness in all regions of Lebanon if we do not receive a response today to the three demands."
