High-level sources in Hamas confirmed the rumored information emerging from the South about the finalized arrangements to transfer around thousand fighters- most are Palestinian who fled to Lebanon from Al-Yarmouk and Damascus camps in Syria as well as other camps in Dar'a and northern Syria- in order to participate in the fights alongside with the FSA and the Sunnite fighters hailing from Tripoli and northern Lebanon.
These fighters started to flock to Homs province, mainly to Al-Qusayr town and its suburbs, where the battles are taking place there between rebels and Hizbullah guerillas, Amal and a group from the Iranian Basij.
Sources revealed to Al-Siyassa Kuwaiti daily that the fighters presented in a Palestinian camp in West Bekaa are now ready to fight against the bases of Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command led by Ahmad Jibril located in Kousaya heights and its neighborhood, whenever they receive the orders from both leaderships of Hamas and Fatah in Lebanon.
The sources pointed out that at least 800 Palestinian fighter from Damascus and Yarmouk camps are still fighting against the regime forces, while another number extended to the extreme west of Damascus suburb in Al-Zabadan and Serghaya in order to fight “Hizbullah gangs” and “their Iranian allies”.
In the same context, a security official in the Lebanese Bekaa told the daily that the Bekaa border villages as well as the northern villages are witnessing rallies of Sunnite fighters who responded to the "jihad" calls of clerics and political leaderships in Tripoli, Sidon and the Mount. They will form jihadists’ armed groups to defend residents of Al-Qusayr and Damascus suburbs.
