Liberation and Development bloc member, MP Michel Moussa said extending the parliament's mandate was the best among the several bad choices, amid the current circumstances and the political tension prevailing over the country.
He said that the long discussions over the electoral law were fruitless, despite the fact that all the possibilities were available.
"Although all the politicians see eye to eye the concept of power rotation and the need to respect the constitutional deadlines, extension was the only solution for now," Moussa said, assuring regrettably that proportionality would have been the best and the most daring choice.
