Hamadeh: Cabinet formation unreachable
Former minister Marwan Hamadeh, said in comment on the cabinet formation issue that the positions of the political parties were still contradictory and had not reached common grounds yet, pointing that this would signal that cabinet formation is distant.

"Former Premier Fouad Siniora informed President Michel Sleiman that March 14 supports having a neutral cabinet, while MP Walid Jumblatt refused the 8-8-8 formula in favor of the 9-9-6 formula; given this data, the cabinet formation is unapproachable," the Lawmaker said in a radio interview on Friday.

He confirmed that the "presidency election battle has started", pointing out that the identity of the coming president hadn't been determined so far; especially, that the extension chances weren't aborted yet.

Hamadeh related the developments in the oil file to releasing the cabinet formation file, stressing the need to have secured stable atmosphere.
"The domestic situation will witness positive signs, mainly over Azaz abductees' file, during the Adha vacation," Hamadeh said.
