Al-Diyar: Lakkis unknown asset in Hezbollah

Preliminary data, according to “al-Diyar” local newspaper, show that the assassination of Hezbollah operative Hassan Lakkis, had been carried out by multiple individuals. Such information have emerged following the discovery of numerous footprints, in the garden, adjacent to the victim’s building, leading to the Camille Chamoun blvd.

Security camera footage has been recovered as well as the five empty bullet shells to be examined by forensics, just as investigations had been carried out with residents in the same building.

Investigations also show that the victim was shot at close range (not more than a few meters) and that the perpetrators used silencers on 9 mm pistols, so as to avoid any commotion.

Revealed information show that Lakkis worked in the Department of technology and communications and took part in the Syrian battles. He is also an unknown asset to Hezbollah since none of the resident knew him by name and used to call him by “Hajj”.

The victim was also responsible for coordination with Palestinian forces and for planning the operations against Israel, not to mention organizing confrontations and logistic support to Palestinian fighters.
