Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt said on Friday that singer Fairouz remains one of the symbols of the Lebanese national heritage.

"Fairouz is greater than leveling arrows of criticism against her and greater than being classified as belonging to any political camp," Jumblatt added.

Jumblatt said that the refined, superior art presented by Fairouz is nobler than being dragged into factional, political and self-interest channels.
