March 14 Figures Receive Phone Threats

Several prominent Lebanese politicians and media figures opposed to Syria's regime and its ally Hezbollah have been threatened, though differently.

Sethrida Geagea, Ahmad Fatfat, Ammar Houri, May Chidiac Nadim Koteish have been receiving threatening phone calls and text messages sent from local, international and hidden numbers.

MP Sethrida Geage had received calls before the callers

soon started sending text messages enclosing personal threats against the figures' lives, insults and obscenities.

When MP Ahmad Fatfat revealed some of the numbers from which offensive calls and messages have been sent to him, he received information confirming that one of these numbers belongs to a pro-Hezbollah Lebanese national who lives in Germany.

It is worth mentioning that the callers might be using the so-called Crazy Call or Caller ID Faker applications that enable any person to change his caller ID by selecting any number he wishes to be displayed.

These applications also enable the caller to change the pitch of his voice as he wishes.
