National Liberal Party (NLP) said Tuesday that Hizbullah's attack on President Suleiman took place in parallel with the visit of Chairman for the Committee for Foreign Policy and National Security of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran Alaeddine Boroujerdi, which proves the party's foreign agenda that aim to distort the state's institutions without taking into consideration the repercussions on Lebanese nationals and their security.

NLP condemned the attack on the president, saying that the assault has reached the people and the institutions.
"Responding to such attack will be through engulfing the principle of state which is considered the only guarantee for its entire people regardless their religious, regional or party belongings," the party added in a statement.
