Lebanese FM, Gibran Bassil suggested new content for the Policy Statement. The suggestion was met with Saudi – Iranian accord and so the Policy Statement that is to be presented by Berri, will bear Bassil’s mark.

US ambassador to Lebanon viewed Bassil’s suggestion as suitable.
