US President Barack Obama said Tuesday that comparing Russia's absorption of Crimea with Kosovo's independence struggle makes "absolutely no sense".
"When I hear analogies to Kosovo... it's a comparison that makes absolutely no sense," Obama told journalists in The Hague the day after a Group of Seven summit aimed at punishing Russia for its takeover of Crimea.
Obama added that Russia's attitude to its neighbors is a sign of weakness.
"Russia is a regional power that is threatening some of its immediate neighbors, not out of strength but out of weakness," Obama told journalists.
