Five Years on… MTV Is Still Breaking the News

Back on April 7, 2009, MTV resurrected again from the abysses of oppression and injustice, having chosen to embark on a new journey and undertake an unstoppable revolution with the same professional outlook on the future.

Another year has passed since MTV was brought back to life after it had been forcibly shut down in 2002. As Lebanon’s leading TV station celebrates its fifth anniversary of trend-setting, a unique richness and variety continue to be unparalleled across the country allowing MTV’s market segment to significantly grow and flourish.

In a huge celebration held at the Platea venue in Sahel Alma, all of MTV’s staff gathered to celebrate their company’s earned success.

"Throughout the days MTV was closed, I never once thought it would live again – because it never died, thanks to you," MTV’s Chairman and CEO Michel Murr once said.

If any network has earned the right to be the voice of Lebanon, it is MTV.
