Interior Minister Nouhad al-Mashnouk assured that issues will be left for the Muslim Scholars' negotiations, revealing that new Security personnel might be released today following the release of three officers today.

In remarks published in al-Akhbar newspaper Wednesday, al-Mashnouk noted that if the armed militants don't want to proceed with their attacks, the crisis will not develop, adding that it is hard to predict their next move but issues will clear in the coming few days.

"The armed groups discovered that the fight with the Lebanese Army wasn't as easy as they had foreseen," he said.
